ABOUT THE LEAGUE
HISTORY
Foothill Little League (FHLL) was founded in 1964 in Ventura, Ca. The league originally played at Ventura College, until the early 70’s. The college eventually needed full use of their fields, so the Lloyd Family generously offered the land behind Arroyo Verde Park to the league so the kids could continue to play. Shortly after that agreement, two baseball fields were built. In the 80’s the complex was expanded to four fields with the help of community volunteers and the Seabees. We have seen generations of families flow through FHLL. Players that played when the league first started, now watching their grandkids play at the fields. Tens of thousands of kids over the years have developed a love for baseball playing on our fields.
MISSION
Foothill Little League is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a positive baseball experience for all children while instilling the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play. We depend on the support of our volunteers, sponsorships and donations from our community to help us pay for uniforms, equipment, training & field maintenance, field improvements as well as player scholarships.
